This stuff tastes really good... but why the added surprise? March 27, 2010 silhouette_of_enchantment (USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
someone I know told me about Braggs Liquid Aminos. They said it was a healthy, tasty alternative to soy sauce. Even the name -- Liquid Aminos -- sounds healthy.
When I tried Braggs; it was absolutely yummy. Salty, but delicious. You can eat it on everything from popcorn to using it as a soy substitute. But, the shock comes in when reading the ingredients which have "glutamic acid" listed in the mix. (Glutamic Acid= glutamate = monosodium glutamate (MSG) family). Maybe it's glutamic acid in all natural form, but I'm not going to risk it.
Bragg's Liquid Aminos tastes way better than soy sauce, but (SURPRISE!) it's got the same bad ingredient. And that makes it a "no" in my book.
Best salad ingredient February 8, 2010 T. Sammons (Mullica Hill, NJ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I use this product along with flax seed oil on my salad. You don't need to add salt. Love this item. HIghly recommend you giving it a try.
The Best Seasoning Ever Made February 3, 2010 Democritus AChE (Los Angeles, CA) This is no joke, I use braggs on almost anything. My kids warn me if we are running low because it has such a great taste; especially on veggies. I usually buy several at the store to stock up and use it for cooking, grilling, spray on veggies, tofu, etc.
If you like Soy Sauce or Tammari, you will love braggs, it's 100X better, seriously, try it and I'm sure you'll agree...
Whoever thought this was a protien suplement for working out, well, seriously... Let's just say I had a laugh at your expense.
It's the winner for soups.... November 2, 2009 Suzanne Kim (Chicago, IL USA) The Bragg Liquid Aminos is the winner when it comes to making soups. It blends well with vegetable and noodle soups. Some condiments contain a lot of sodium. Add 15 ml (one tablespoon) of soy sauce to your meal, and you've added 1,005 mg of sodium. I would prefer 110-160mg sodium from Bragg than 1,005 mg of soy sauce. No wonder I had to throw out the entire soup by adding the soy sauce instead of Bragg because the taste changed to bitterness than sweet and fragrance taste. Sodium also occurs naturally in some foods such as meat, dairy products and vegetables. Your body needs only 500 mg of sodium per day to function under normal circumstances. Well it fulfills my need due my diet are mostly from the fresh vegetables, fruits, soymilk, and tofu.
Got what I expected October 19, 2009 Michele Boulter I bought this item through Amazon because I trust the Amazon website and they have never failed me. The Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar was delivered as promised. I just drink shots of the vinegar so I can get it over with. It has helped with my bloat tremendously. I'll have to wait until my next blood test to see if my cholosterol numbers have improved. You can see the "Mother" in the bottle. The first drink is a little tough. But after a few days, I got used to it and have no problem with it now. It's best to chase the shot with a drink of water to prevent acidic damage to teeth.
